I recently learned about a service for professional artists called “Juried Art Services.” You can find it easily on the web and it costs nothing to join. What a nice surprise! Art centers throughout the states use its services when they have a “Call to Artists” to participate in a juried art show. When you join Juried Art Services you tell about yourself as an artist and download photos and information about your art work. Then when you want to apply to be accepted in an art show anywhere in the country, you go to Juried Art Services online, choose the artwork you wish to submit to be juried for the art show, and pay the fee required to enter the show. This is a nice service not only for the individual artist but also for the art center and person doing the jurying of the submitted work.

I am considering entering the National Encouter Art Show sponsored by the Naples Art Center. Applications must be completed and received by March 13th. This is one of the recent paintings I have completed which I would like to get into the show. It is difficult to get one’s work into a national show as there are so many artists trying to get accepted. Wish me luck!
